Performance
Whilst exhibiting high compressive strength, our products are purely decorative and are not designed to be load bearing. Decorative stonework, therefore, will require an appropriate load-bearing lintel where necessary.

Repair Policy
Our policy is to assist, whenever possible, with any on site problems. Please let us know of any problems within 24 hours of receipt of goods. If it is established that Kingstone is in any way at fault, we will act accordingly to resolve the problem. If the problem proves to be responsibility of the customer (e.g. incorrect information or poor site practices) Kingstone will carry out remedial work or remakes but will charge for this service.
Storage and Handling
Even high quality cast stone products can be prone to damage if handled incorrectly. Kingstone take no responsibility for damage incurred to products through poor site practices. It is recommended that stone units should be covered and stored in good quality pallets on level ground until required. Sill may be installed at the last minute or should be covered, once installed, to prevent chipping or mortar drips.
Efflorescence
Often described as “Lime Bloom” this is the deposit of insoluble calcium carbonate on the surface of concrete products during the curing process. The extent to which efflorescence appears varies according to the atmospheric conditions in which curing takes place. Some efflorescence is a feature of the curing process of cast stone, no matter how much care is taken in the manufacturing process. It will disappear over time when the product is exposed to weather. Whilst it may be responsible for slight differences in colour/reflectivity of cast stone, it has no bearing on structural performance/integrity.

Kingstone’s products are hand crafted using natural materials and bound with cement. Some colour differences are therefore unavoidable.

Structural Opening Sizes
Detailed below are our standard structural opening sizes for window heads and sills. When ordering please quote the opening size (O/S) and finished size (F/S). If bearing is required for heads or stools are required for sills, prices need calculating on finished sizes.

Bespoke products
We pride ourselves in our ability to create almost anything in cast stone. We can produce products to your exact requirements wether it be an ornate carving or large one of projects.
Products held in stock
Kingstone hold a section of products in stock for customers who require a rapid response. These products are available ex-stock in Yorkstone colour only.
Lead Times
All standard products are available in 4 weeks from placement of order. However if the lead-time has to be extended due to situations beyond our control you will be advised on placement of order.
Delivery
All prices are shown ex-works. Please advise before placing an order for delivery is required. Please provide the delivery address (including postcode) and advise if off loading facilities are required.
Collection
Goods will be available for collection between the hours of 10.00 am – 12.00 pm and 12.30 pm to 3.00 pm. If you wish to collect goods outside these hours please call the office to arrange a suitable time.
